已成永恒的若干个瞬间(1) - 3-day New York City Trip

St. Patrick Church: St. Patrick's Cathedral is the largest decorated Neo-Gothic-style Catholic cathedral in North America. It is the seat of the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, and a parish church, located at 50th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, just across the street from Rockefeller Center.





 现代艺术博物馆（MoMA)。和大都会完全不同的感觉。装修了好几年，去年重新开放。虽然很大，可依然感觉人群如潮涌。看到唯一的中国名字的作品是一系列反映发展中的中国城市建设的照片，拍的有苏州河、深圳。日本人的作品还不少。朋友说，近年来韩国和日本的现代艺术风格已经得到国际的认可，但是中国还没有形成自己的风格。是啊，我一下子能想起苏州园林，但是那也是老祖宗遗留的啊。今天我们有什么呢？

MoMA is considered by many to be one of the best modern art museums in the world and with a major renovation recently completed, it can only get better. The galleries are filled with paintings, drawings, prints, illustrations, and photographs. Besides Andy Warhol's 'Marilyn Monroe' and Pablo Picasso's 'Les Demoiselles d'Avignon', there are plenty of other classics to view.




American Museum of Natual History, 国家自然历史博物馆。Discovery看到过的所有的恐龙，这里都有化石。我最喜欢的是矿石展览。看得可都是某国王墓出土的各色的大宝石；在这里，听到再多的惊叹声也不会觉得奇怪，那么大一颗宝石出现在面前，没有人能忍住。
