Job Description: Knowledge Management (KM) Consultant

We provide consulting _and development services to support the business units in introduction _and improvement of Knowledge & Information Management solutions.

 Tasks

• Development of portfolio on KM according to the market needs
• Enhancements of the KM competence field by trend scouting _and proposals of customer projects, as well as cooperation
• Responsible for predevelopment/research projects of the competence field
• Consulting of Siemens BG/BU in area of KM

ü timely _and cost relevant realization of projects

ü realization of predefined processes for settlement of projects

ü documentation of the project results _and their back up

ü conception of project responsibility towards the customer

• Conducting / Participating in Acquisitions
• Ensuring of smooth working relation to maternal unit in Germany

 Working Partners/Contacts

• Working with the latest technologies _and highly motivated colleagues
• Being involved in innovative projects in cooperation with business groups
• Being involved in cooperation with 3^rd partners

Knowledge/Languages

• Knowledge Management Methodology
• Practical experience in Knowledge _and Information Management consulting
• Competence in WEB-Engineering _and object-oriented SW Design, e.g. based on Service oriented Architectures (SoA)
• Knowledge in the use of WEB technologies (HTML, XML, Java, JavaScript)
• Good consulting, presentation _and moderator skills
• Project Management Know-how
• Good spoken _and written English

Experience

• Experiences min. 3 years in knowledge management or in the consulting field (e.g. , Process Management, Project management, and/or Enterprise IT Architecture Planning based on Web-technologies)
• Experience in interacting with senior level clients on high profile projects
• Engineering background _and familiarity with one or more of the following industries (medical, industrial automation, power generation, automotive)
• Desirable is practical experience in the fields of Customer Service and/or New Product Development
• Desirable is practical experience in software development on Document Management System, Knowledge-Base, or other KM applications

Education:

• Bachelor or Master degree , e.g. Engineering (e.g. software), Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or comparable practical experiences
• MBA or PhD is advantageous
• Job Language: English
